Eni has been operating in Usa since 1962

Activities

  • Development

Development activities concerned the drilling activities at the operated Devil’s Tower field as well as at non-operated fields Medusa (Eni’s interest 25%), K2 (Eni’s interest 13.39%) and St. Malo (Eni’s interest 1.25%).

  • Exploration

Eni holds interests in 128 exploration and production blocks in the shallow and deep offshore of the Gulf of Mexico, of which 73 are operated by Eni. As part of Eni’s portfolio rationalization process, the sale of certain minor assets in the Gulf of Mexico was finalized.

  • Gas & Power

In May 2009, Eni signed a strategic alliance with Quicksilver Resources Inc., for the acquisition of a 27.5% stake in the Alliance area, in North Texas. The area extends for roughly fifty square kilometres with unconventional gas production coming from clay (shale gas). The alliance with Quicksilver foresees for the exchange of techniques and know-how between the two companies. Eni is also entitled to a stake of 27.5% in any future licences in the area.

  • Production

Eni operates in the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska and, more recently, in the Texas onshore. In 2015 Eni’s share of oil and gas production amounted to 98,000 boe/d. The company’s exploration and production activities in the country are regulated by concession contracts.

  • Refining

Currently, the company has a Blending and Distribution Facility in Cabot, Pennsylvania. In the last three years, all sales activities in Canada, New York, New Jersey, Ohio and part of the production in Pennsylvania has been transferred to various distributors. In 2015 the Cabot site produced about 2.771 M/T of lubricants. The blending capacity of the plant totalled 16.494 M/T of Bulk Products and 3.299 M/T of Packaged Products.
