Dual Flag

With the “dual flag” approach, Eni aims to cooperate with host countries in order to seize new opportunities for economic and social development in an increasingly complex global environment. Listening and involving local communities are key prerequisites for sustainability and building mutual value. Thanks to this model, which is rooted in the formula developed by Enrico Mattei, and has become known as the “Mattei Formula”, the partnership focuses not only on the economic value of the resources of producer countries, but also on concrete support for sustainable development, particularly on the energy front: a distinctive feature that enables us to establish a mutually beneficial relationship and build mutual respect.
