Eni currently has a strategy for customer relations with two fundamental aims: the reduction of the asymmetries that have long characterised the relationship between companies and clients, and the promotion of responsible behaviour by consumers. In order to reduce the "distance" that can exist between the company and the consumer, Eni has created a special function to manage relations with consumers' associations.  The control mechanism serves to promote dialogue between the company and this category of stakeholder, to grow and reinforce the relationship and responding to customers' needs in the decision-making processes. In order to promote a sustainable use of energy among clients and end users Eni acts on a number of fronts, including the: (1) realisation of public information and awareness campaigns on energy saving and care for the environment, (2) creation of new tools to facilitate the spread of information about energy and the offer of products with a low environmental impact, (3) cooperation with local and regional authorities in the development of initiatives for the containment of atmospheric emissions, (4) support for industrial clients in the definition of energy saving plans.
