Jangkrik is one of seven record-breaking projects from Eni, all of which have extremely rapid development and production startup times in common.

  • Karachaganak

Located onshore in the western part of the country, Karachaganak (29.25%, co-operator with Shell) is a giant oilfield that produces oil, condensates and natural gas. The operations carried out by the Karachaganak Petroleum Operating Consortium (KPO) are governed by a Production Sharing Agreement. Production in the year amounted to 231,000 barrels/day of liquids (61,000 for Eni) and 26 million cubic metres/day of natural gas (about 7 million for Eni).

  • Nené Marine

The Nené Marine field in Marine Block XII (Eni 65%, operator), produce from the pre-salt layer Djeno formation, 2.5 kilometres below ground level. The complete development of Nené will be in several stages and will involve the installation of production platforms and the drilling of 30 wells. It is one of seven record-breaking projects from Eni, all of which are remarkable for their rapid approval rates and times to start-up.
