Mozambique Rovuma Venture and Area 4 Partners Contribute USD100,000 to Support Cyclones Relief Efforts

The contribution is being provided to a leading humanitarian organization providing food assistance for the relief and recovery of the affected population.

Maputo, Mozambique, 20 May 2019 - Mozambique Rovuma Venture S.p.A. (MRV) and its Area 4 partners have agreed a USD100,000 contribution to aid recovering Mozambicans, and to highlight the continued need to support the regions impacted by Cyclone Idai and Kenneth.

 

The financial support is being directed to a leading humanitarian organization with a presence on-site to provide food assistance for the relief and recovery of the affected populations. The donation is being provided through a direct contribution by MRV and Area 4 partners.

 

This additional support complements the humanitarian assistance efforts already carried out by each of the Area 4 partners individually, totaling USD1,150,000, in order to minimize the impact caused by this natural disaster in the provinces of Manica, Sofala and Cabo Delgado.

 

About Mozambique Rovuma Venture

MRV is an incorporated joint venture owned by Eni, ExxonMobil and CNODC, and holds a 70 percent interest in the Area 4 Exploration and Production Concession, together with Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH), Galp and KOGAS, each with a 10 percent interest.
