We want to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science
On February 11th 2015, during the first High-Level World Women's Health and Development Forum, the United Nations General Assembly declared the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with the aim of promoting and encouraging gender equality in order to achieve full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development also underlines the power of science as a driver for human rights and dignity, poverty eradication and the protection of the planet: investing in women’s and girls’ empowerment through and in science is vital for the achievement of the internationally agreed development goals.
As an international leading company with a gender equality credo in its Code of Ethics - Eni promotes a culture inspired by the values of integrity and a policy of equal opportunity - we commemorate the second observance of the day travelling around the world to meet some of our women who stand out in scientific fields of work.
