Agreement signed by Eni, Turin University and Città della Salute Hospital.
The Agreement focuses on the protection of workers’ health and the communities’ public health. It engages, in particular, with the research team from the School of Occupational Medicine in the Public and Paediatric Health Department of Turin University, coordinated by Prof. Enrico Pira, under an agreement with Città della Salute Hospital.
The partnership is concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of work-related illnesses as well as applied research and operative supervision in Occupational Medicine, across the company’s international locations (risk assessment, industrial hygiene and medical supervision of workers). The agreement intends to create a Master’s Programme in Occupational Medicine focusing on the oil & gas industry, with places reserved for Eni’s employees; courses in epidemiological research methodology; organisation of targeted studies and the revision and verification of procedures and guidelines drawn up by Eni in the area of medical surveillance and management of health risk in the workplace.
The signing of this agreement marks a significant moment of cooperation between the public and private sectors in the area of Occupational Medicine. It underlines the partners’ commitment to safety in the workplace, with a special focus on risk assessment and management and the adoption of appropriate measures for risk prevention and the promotion of health.
