The process for the acquisition of Block OPL245: the role of the Nigerian government in the negotiations.
For years the development of exploration block 245 was suspended due to an international dispute between Shell, Malabu and the Nigerian Federal government. In 2010 Eni, that already held the contiguous block 244, began negotiations for the possible acquisition of a stake in block OPL 245.
