Born in Monza in 1963, on 5 December 2012 he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Eni and Manager charged with preparing the company’s financial reports pursuant to art. 154-bis of Legislative Decree no. 58/1998.
He joined Eni in 1992 after acquiring a great deal of professional experience in industrial companies and also as a management consultant.
He worked in the Administration and Control area of the Exploration and Production division until 2006, becoming head of the division.
From 2006 to 2009 he was Director of Planning and Control for the Eni group, before returning to E&P as Executive Vice President for the Central Asia, Far East and Pacific Region business areas. In this role he contributed to the consolidation of Eni’s activities in the Exploration and Production division, to the launch of new development projects and to Eni’s entry into new countries.
From 2014 until September 2016, alongside his role as Eni's Chief Financial Officer, he was also responsible for Eni’s Integrated Risk Management department.
He graduated in Economics and Business Administration from Bocconi University Milan in 1987.
