Chief Executive Officer of Eni, Claudio Descalzi, speaks on board the Armada Olombendo: “So we are here together today to celebrate the departure of the first oil from the East Hub. We are here on board the platform and celebrating the first production with the entire team. This deep offshore project is a record for Eni. It started in 3 years, 5 months ahead of the budget, while still respecting costs and production rump up. It is also a technological record: as there will be no discharge and no flaring because the water and gas will be re-injected. It is the latest generation FPSO, made and built for the long term with safety in mind, and with the ability to interact with the ship and maintain maximum efficiency".
