#JoinEniCircle: Behind the scenes of The Circular Garden

A circular approach to architecture

"The Circular Garden", Eni's garden installation, is a recyclable structure at the Brera Botanical Garden for the Fuorisalone event. It was made with the fibrous mycelium roots of mushrooms. The idea was to create a completely natural design. Inspired by the work of Gaudì, the architecture was modelled with suspended catenaries, which allowed the mycelium to grow over time into completely organic arches. Over 1 kilometre of mycelium was used in this circular approach to architecture. At the end of the installation, the mycelium will be returned to the ground.
