The construction story of the FPSO - East Hub Project

Armada Olombendo

The Armada Olombendo floating production, storage and offloading unit (FPSO) operates in Block 15/06, offshore Angola, as part of the East Hub Development Project. The East Hub Development Project is located in Block 15/06, offshore Angola, and includes 9 underwater wells, of which 5 are producers and 4 water injectors, at a depth between 450 and 550 meters. The produced hydrocarbons are transported via a pipeline system to the FPSO Armada Olombendo, where they are processed and stored before being exported. Production at the Cabaça South East field, 350 kilometres northwest of Luanda and 130 kilometres west of Soyo, began in February 2017, 5 months ahead of the development plan. For this reason, the East Hub Development is part of Eni's seven record breaking projects, whose common factor is the move from development to the start of production in record times.
