Eni Congo and the “Clean Beach” initiative

Rubbish is a visible and increasingly worrying problem on the beaches of Pointe-Noire and indeed all along the Congolese coast. It has a serious impact on the environment and poses a real danger to people's health. Eni Congo stepped in, with an initiative along the coast south of Pointe-Noire, involving 400 people, including employees and their families. We managed to pick up an impressive 1,200 kg of rubbish along 3 km of beach. The project was launched by the HSE department of Eni Congo and done in collaboration with Centrale Electrique du Congo (CEC) and the Scuola Enrico Mattei.
