A museum of African culture

Eni Congo entirely renovated a large central hall, several small side rooms and a large outdoor space, to house the Luca Cosentino collection, a permanent exhibition of masks, statues and objects from rituals, all from the Congo, alongside more recently acquired work. A second hall displays photos showing the history of Pointe-Noire, the construction of the Congo-Ocean railway and the development of the oil sector. Finally, a large portico holds a permanent exhibition of contemporary Congolese painting and some temporary exhibitions. The museum has been patronised by UNESCO, which recognises the importance of the initiative.
