In January 2019 we signed a major Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement (EPSA) for Block 47, in which we will be 90% operators, and a Head of Agreement (HoA) with the Ministry of Petroleum and British Petroleum for the acquisition of exploration and production rights for Block 77 - another onshore area spanning some 3,100km2 and located 30km east of the Khazzan field operated by BP. Under the agreement, Eni and BP will each hold a 50% stake and we will be involved in the exploration phase. The move has enabled us to strengthen relations with the state-owned Oman Oil Company Exploration and Production (OOCEP) - our existing partner in Block 52, for which we signed an EPSA in November 2017.
