We first began working with the country in 1969, with the founding of Agip Canada that began research and trade of minerals in the area. Today we operate in the Exploration & Production and Refining & Marketing e Chemicals sectors.
We operate in the country's offshore with the EL 317 exploration permit (with a 14.06% interest) and five production permits. We hold 10% in Bjarni H-81, Gudrid H-55, North Bjarni F-06 and Snorri J-90, we have a 4.58% interest in the Hopedale E-33 permit. In November 2008, we also finalised the acquisition of all the common stock of Canadian company First Calgary Petroleum Ltd., which operates in the exploration and development of hydrocarbons in Algeria.
