natural gas

Gas consumption has increased by +7.5% compared with 2009. Russia is the world’s biggest gas producer (624.61 bcm) followed by the USA (600.15 bcm). Global gas reserves are stable (190,878 bcm as of 1 January 2011)

production quality

Classification in terms of API grades and the level of sulphur of more than 90% of world crude production. In 2010 the production of medium & sour crude retained first place, followed by light & sweet.

refining industry

An increase in the complexity of the world refining system. FCC eqv from 44% in 2005 to 49% in 2010 There was a significant drop in the utilization rate of refineries, falling, on a global level, to 80%.
