Where and How we Intervene

where and how we intervene

Eni Foundation operates primarily by developing its own projects, which are aimed at protecting the health and promoting the wellbeing of children, adolescents and the elderly, improving their quality of life and mitigating hardship and social exclusion.

IIn order to implement its programs, the Foundation can set up cooperation initiatives and partnerships, both in the planning and implementation phases, with NGOs, humanitarian associations, as well as local institutions and government agencies. Partners are selected on the basis of specific and proven skills and competences in the areas of interest and according to the complexity of the projects being undertaken.

Eni Foundation may also support initiatives promoted by other organizations as long as they are consistent with its areas of intervention, from both a thematic and geographic point of view, and provided that such initiatives are not profit oriented and pursue social objectives

Although it is an independent and autonomous body, in conducting its activities Eni Foundation relies on the know-how and experience acquired by the people who work in Eni and of those who have worked for the company in the past, such as the veterans of the APVE. By drawing on such knowledge, the Foundation aims to strengthen its own ability to make a concrete contribution to resolving critical social problems.

In the first years of its activity, the Foundation has decided to concentrate its efforts on children’s health, in particular in a number of countries where Eni operates, by focusing on the main endemic diseases and illnesses which affect children and hinder their growth and full development.
