On 28 May in Potenza, Eni ha organised a conference along with the University of Basilicata in collaboration with Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei and Shell. Participating at the meeting, that will be held in the, Aula Magna of the University, will be, among others, Vito De Filippo, President of the Region of Basilicata, Timothy Reed of Fauna and Flora International and Antonio Mario Tamburo, Rector of the University.
The conference is dedicated to the scientific studies for the AgroBioDiversity projects conducted in Val D'Agri by the University of Basilicata on Eni's behalf, in partnership with Shell Italia and in cooperation with Fauna & Flora International and IUNC – The World Conservation Union.
The aim of the study is to build up our knowledge about the state of the area's biodiversity and to evaluate the role of philanthropic activities – with special reference to the oil industry –in determining the territorial changes that have taken place in the Val D'Agri and surrounding areas.
