Eni joined the AIMaC project (The Italian Association for Cancer Patients, parents and friends)

October 2010 - Eni joined the AIMaC project (Associazione Italiana Malati di Cancro, parenti e amici - the Italian Association for Cancer Patients, parents and friends) "A network of support for the introduction of rules to protect the rights of cancer sufferers in the workplace", approved by the Italian Ministry of Health and Social Policy, through the launch of a pilot scheme involving the employees of Eni Corporate, a numerically sufficient sample for significant results.

The aim is to promote at a corporate level an awareness of supportive actions that can be taken on behalf of currently present sufferers and/or their families (legal, professional, etc.) and to facilitate access to the opportunities foreseen by existing legislation.

The pilot project includes:

• an anonymous survey among employees by means of a questionnaire on the company’s intranet. The results will be used to provide an adequate response and support to needs emerging from the survey;
• online information on the company intranet available to all personnel;
• the subsequent realisation of a leaflet providing information about existing legislative provisions in Italy for the support of employees suffering from cancer or members of one’s immediate family.
