On 8 October 2009 Eni hosted the annual meeting of the Global Compact Italian Network

On 8 October 2009 Eni, in the capacity of member of the UN Global Compact, hosted the annual meeting of the Global Compact Italian Network (GCNI) which the company is supporting together with other major Italian companies as from this year.

In addition to supporters of the Network the meeting was also attended by other leading Italian companies which, though being interested in the initiative, are not yet official members, as well as by the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs with which Eni, in collaboration with the Italian Network, is enhancing consultation in view of the Global Compact Leaders Summit to be held in New York in June 2010.
