Eni defined and constantly updates a single management system model which represents the point of reference for all operating units and includes cyclical application of HSE integrated audits.
Eni launched several projects to improve water quality. It developed a technology (En-Z-Lite) to remove organic contaminants from groundwater

Eni carries out initiatives through sustainable remediation technologies, with the aim of creating value for the communities. The Ensolvex technology is a process of solvent extraction for the remediation of polluted soils patented by Eni.
Eni has been working on a project aimed at monitoring and controlling the entire cycle of waste produced. A thermal process (Zero Waste) for the treatment of industrial waste is under study.
