Elastomers

Elastomers are polymers with properties of elasticity that allow them to regain their original form even after having been subjected to extensive deformations.

Polimeri Europa has leading position in this sector and produces a wide range of products for the following sectors: pneumatic tyres, shoes, adhesives, building components, pipes, electrical cables, car components and seals, household appliances; modifying materials for plastics and bitumens, additives for lubricating oils (solid elastomers); carpet backing, paper gloss, moulded foam (synthetic lattices).

Polimeri Europa is one of the world's major producers of elastomers and synthetic lattices.
The company's production plants are located in Italy, at Ravenna, Ferrara and Porto Torres (the Syndial plant), in the United Kingdom, at Hythe and Grangemouth.
Research and technical assistance is conducted from Italy at the Ravenna and Ferrara plants, and at Grangemouth in the UK.
ISO 9001 certification has been obtained for all production processes.
