He is the first Italian to receive this prestigious award, universally recognised as the most important in the oil industry. The award ceremony takes place at the Dorchester Hotel in London on 28 October as part of the Oil & Money Conference

Eni's chief executive will take part in the "Oil and Money Conference 2008", the world's most prestigious energy forum, which for more than 20 years has brought together the leaders of the oli sector. In the afternoon, at 4 pm, he will take part in a debate with the chairman of the Libyan state oil company, the National Oil Corporation, Shokri Gahnem. During the meeting, at the Ritz Hotel, "Oil", the new energy, geopolitics, economics and finance magazine, published by Eni, will be presented to the international press and the oil community.
In the evening there will be the official ceremony for the "Petroleum Executive of the Year 2008" award, at the Dorchester Hotel. See more on the press release.

Paolo Scaroni is the first Italian to receive this prestigious award made by Energy Intelligence in cooperation with the International Herald Tribune, universally recognised as the most important in the oil industry. Every year the Petroleum Executive awards the top manager who has most distinguished himself, in the judgement of his peers, for his contribution to the entire oil industry.. Candidates for the prize are proposed by the heads of more than 100 of the world's most important oil companies. The final selection is made by a jury, made up of previous recipients of the award.
