BluSuper gasoline was joined by the brand-new BluDiesel Tech, the first sulphur free diesel in Italy.
The sulfur content below 10 ppm, as all the fuel of the family, allows for optimal operation of exhaust gases treatment systems, reducing particle formation.
BluDiesel Tech also has an optimum content of additives, which give high detergency properties and appropriate Cetane number.
In particular, the multifunctional detergent additive has been enhanced 5-fold compared to the past in order to obtain, in addition to maintaining the fuel system cleanliness (keep clean), also the property to clean up the injectors already dirty from sustained traditional diesel (clean up). This effect allows to restore (in most cases) the correct functionality of the primers, allowing the recovery of engine performance (power restoration). The tests show a restoration of engine power when comparing the relative performance of the injectors cleaned and dirty. Extensive experiments in cars on the road have confirmed a reduction in consumption (up to 2.4%) resulting from the continuing use of BluDiesel Tech.
The higher cetane number ensures better engine starting, especially during a cold start, and a reduction in noise for increased driving comfort. All these features allow the engine to operate more optimally and efficiently.

BluSuper is a high quality gasoline that is distinguished from the ordinary ones for a higher octane rating, the absence of sulfur and a special additive which keeps the engine cleaner.
The high antiknock power allows BluSuper to withstand the most severe conditions of temperature and pressure in the combustion chamber and then to burn in a regular manner, effectively transforming the available energy into mechanical energy.
The absence of sulfur ensures a better efficiency of catalysts for cars and therefore a reduction in pollution emissions. It permits optimal performance of de-NOx catalysts for cars with direct injection lean burn.
BluSuper contains a special additive that prevents the formation of deposits in the fuel system of the engine and in particular on the valves that regulate entry into the combustion chamber of the air-fuel mixture. These deposits, changing the geometry of the fuel system, can affect the response of the engine, to give rise to loss of power and acceleration.

In the field of automotive lubricants, the most significant products developed by R&D are in the high-performance range and have met both the requirements of wide market applications and the specific demands of the main car manufactures.

In particular, the following lines have been designed and delivered:

Agip 7005 and Agip 7007 - SAE 0W-30 synthetic oils with High Fuel Economy performances and long drain intervals, specifically dedicated to the Volkswagen Group engines both petrol and diesel. Moreover Agip Oil 7007 has been qualified for use on diesel engines with pump-injector system and has become over the years, at first a factory and service fill oil, and then an original VW spare parts. For this application currently the Agip 7007 is the only product worldwide recommended.

Sint Evolution - After launching the new fully synthetic line, in 2001, in the following years a new product in SAE 0W-30 was introduced into this top tier range.

Sint 2000 10W-40 - The flagship product for the partially-synthetic Passenger Car line has been constantly updated to fulfil the evolving performance requirements.

Passenger Car Mineral Line - This sector has benefited by the upgrade of the formulation technologies and especially by the exploitation of a novel cost-effective additive system.

Platform for high compatibility with aftertreatment systems and excellent fuel economy - New formulation technologies enabling the effective operations of advanced aftertreatment systems and enhancing the quality of lubricants with regard to the environmental impact (reduction of CO₂ emissions). In this product line innovative additives have been adopted with the outstanding contribution of the internal R&D know how. This new technology has recently generated (2009) two products claiming the ACEA C level for Euro 5 engines.

Even for bitumen, Eni's R&D aims to innovative formulations, with high quality and low environmental impact, to achieve high performance products.
Two lines were developed:

AGIP Eliflex
These bitumens are a qualified response to the demand of road operators for mechanical strength, durability and safety. They are prepared according to a patented technology from appropriately selected bituminous components and adding a polymer elastomeric modifying agent in order to have:

• excellent characteristics of elasticity and resistance to permanent deformation, even at high operating temperatures
• greater resistance to fatigue and aging
• better behavior at low temperatures.

The process and engineering technologies allow to prepare a complete line of products, meeting all the market needs:

• AGIP Eliflex HD, MD and SF: hard, medium and soft modified bitumen, suitable for the realization of the layers constituting the whole package of roads;
• AGIP ELIFLX AM: high modulus modified bitumen, specific for structural improvements;
• AGIP Eliflex HE: extra hard modified bitumen with a high change degree for extreme applications - such as airport runways, race tracks, freight yards interchange;
• AGIP Eliflex HES: modified bitumen with high adhesive characteristics, particularly suitable for draining conglomerates and high durability layers.

AGIP RIGEBIT
From the experience of the Eliflex line, using a patented formulation with polymers, hydrocarbon waxes with high molecular weight and specific additives, it was possible to carry out a series of products with excellent flow and workability, with the following benefits:

• Lowering the temperature of preparation, paving and compaction of the conglomerate of about 30 ° C, with energy saving in all stages of processing;
• reduction of CO2 emissions;
• possibility of reusing materials milled from flooring, thus reducing the extraction of virgin materials from the quarry.

For their characteristics these products are optimally used in critical environmental conditions (at night or in winter) and in recycling of exhausted hot asphalt, allowing the regeneration of the milled material.
The line of products currently available cover the following market needs:

• AGIP RIGEBIT HM30: modified bitumen suitable for the construction of pavements subjected to very heavy traffic conditions.
• AGIP RIGEBIT 60: modified bitumen, which is also used in hot recycling operations, allowing to reuse up to 40% of material.
