Initiatives For Shareholders

In compliance with regulatory provisions and the provisions of the By-laws, Eni is committed to stimulating the interest and activism of shareholders.

In recent years, in fact, the need for companies to not only respect the rights of shareholders but also that the latter become more active, has been particularly strong; this can be achieved by helping them to exercise these rights and by communicating comprehensible and accessible information as well as by stimulating participation in Company activities.

The Company has also agreed to implement the requests – emerging in recent Assemblies – for an increasing involvement of its investors.

The idea of prsenting the company, Eni, in a simple and intelligible manner has led to specific attention being given to the website of the Company in order to clearly and directly communicate in addition to the creation of a Shareholders Guideand the planning of dedicated initiatives.

One of these initiatives involved presenting the Shareholders’ Meeting for the approval of the 2008 financial statements and shareholder rights by means of a simple and synthetic interactive cartoon.
