Technical Support

As part of the Polimeri Europa's partnership with its customers, technicians work at identifying common objectives and collaborating to fulfil them, analyzing at the same time any new requests concerning the quality or the behaviour of its products.

This task involves technicians, who are expert in the production processes and the various applications using specialized laboratories, in particular in Mantua for the Intermediates business and in Porto Marghera for the Aromatics and Olefins business, which are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and tools.

Those who choose Polimeri Europa do it also for the support they receive: technical, efficient, tailor-made.

These laboratories are equipped with a machinery park covering the main polyethylene transformation technologies and can manufacture products on prescription and/or carry out trials at a customer's factory.
  • Characterisation Laboratories for the evaluation of mechanical and optical properties, for chemical-physical analysis (macromolecular and structural characteristics) and for chemical analysis.
  • A Laboratory for Extraction, Migration and Organolectic Property tests, complying with international non-toxicity regulations.

Our Service
The Technical Assistance for Styrenics, located at the main production sites, is part of the Marketing function. This service, supported by Quality Assurance, Production, Research and Technology (with the exception of monomer Styrene, for which the specific Sales function operates) works in a proactive way in order to find the most suitable solutions to customer's problems and needs mainly acting through:

  • Troubleshooting and Technical Support
  • Product and application development

Troubleshooting and Technical Support
In this case the Technical Assistance activities are mainly aimed at complaint management/solving in the shortest possible time, at the search for solutions to customer's specific problems.

Product and application development
This task of the Technical Assistance develops the synergies that link directly the raw material industry to the productive downstream. Through an attentive monitoring of the market's and customers' needs in the numerous application fields, in which our products are used, the need for optimization and fine-tuning of new products is emerging, which satisfies also the requests for technological evolution, besides those for the raw material, also in the business concerning the transformation of plastics and elastomers. The high competitiveness of our range of products is such also due to the precious support of the Technical Assistance. Together with these basic activities, also the support for the production and the update of always complete and updated technical documentation, as well as the efficient rationalization of the division product portfolio is supplied.
