eni adfin operates a s a provider of integrated financial and administrative services, primarily in the interests of Italian companies of Eni in the following main sectors:

monetary regulation of commercial and financial transactions (receipts and payments from/to clients, suppliers, employees, public bodies, etc.)
regulation and compensation of financial transactions between companies of Eni and the banking system and between the foreign and domestic financial circuits;
the issue and management of the "Multicard Routex" credit card in support of Eni fuel distribution activities;
financial and operational leasing of fixed and liquid assets;
loan provisions for employees of Eni;
accounting management of the transaction cycle (receivables and payables);
preparation of general accounting documentation for analytical purposes and relative information flows for the elaboration of annual and interim accounts of client companies;
receipts, management and forwarding of data flows in electronic format, integrated with the services of a trusted third party and publication on open networks.

eni adfin is the holding company for:
Serfactoring
The company provides financial factoring services primarily for suppliers of Eni. It is subject to the control and coordination of Eni. Serfactoring is financial intermediary that operates in the open market and is enrolled in the general list of financial intermediaries at the Financial Information Unit and in the special list for Financial Intermediaries at the Bank of Italy as per Art. 107 Legislative Decree 385/1983, being subject to the control of the Bank of Italy.

Legislative Decree N° 231 of 8 June 2001 introduced to Italian law regulations relating to the administrative responsibilities of public bodies.

According to such rules, companies may be held to be responsible, and therefore subject to sanctions ranging from fines to restrictions, for offences, committed or attempted - in Italy or abroad - in the interests of the companies themselves by directors or employees. However, a company's liability may be reduced or eliminated if, prior to any offence being committed, action has been taken and effectively put in place to establish a model of organization, management and control sufficient to ensure adequate prevention.

The new Sofid model, approved by the board of directors on 4 August 2009, includes Eni's Code of Ethics and outlines a complex range of principles, rules and regulations aimed at putting in place and effectively managing a system of control and monitoring of sensitive actions in order to avoid the type of offences foreseen in legislative decree N° 231 of 2001.

The role of ensuring the adequate application and management of Model 231 is entrusted to eni adfin's Control Board, which is also responsible for ensuring the application of the Code of Ethics.
